Kids say the darnest things

I love watching Danielle interact with other kids. She loves talking to kids and for some reason their moms. The first thing they notice is her vocabulary and how well she can carry a conversation. She asks them where their daddy is, or why their kid doesn't have socks on. It's very amusing to hear her converse with adults and it makes me very proud.

Mother: "Her vocabulary is amazing! What do you do?"
Me: I talk to her just like I'm talking to you."

Me: "Danielle, I'd like you to finish the spinach ok. Their good for you".
Danielle: "Mom, am I going to turn green if I eat this?"

    Danielle: "Where's the policeman?"
Me: "Their looking for the bad guys."
Danielle: "The policeman gets the bad guys(who she thinks are hiding in the trees) and kills them?

Me:"We need money to buy things like your toys and food. Do you know where we get money from?
    Danielle: "Yeah! In daddy's pocket!"

Me: "Can you turn off the computer when you're not using it anymore?"
Danielle: "Mom I'm still doing my homework. I have to give this to my teacher."

For Good Health

My family and I headed down the park for a little physical acitivity this morning. I have always wanted to take a stroll or jog in the morning but often times my schedule and petty excuses permits me to do so. Sometimes we take our body for granted hoping it will just perform its functions as long as we fuel it with food. But having a physically fit lifestyle is as important as eating healthy. And so there we were, intentionally circling Echo Park. One lap equaled to a 20 minute walk on a 2 mph speed. Not bad.

Then my daughter could not be held by the stroller anymore. She was patiently waiting for her turn to go to the playground. So after one lap of walking with my hubby, I decided to take another round alone. It felt very good knowing that my body has been yearning to be taken out for some form of acitivity. Not that I am a couch potato and sits around all day but walking, running and any kind of movement done intentionally for a specific amount of time and speed burns calories. So walking in the mall doesn't count.

After my second lap, hubby and I switched places. I watched my daughter in the play area and he continued on for a second lap. After that, it was time to feed the ducks. While giving out the bread, Danielle was not intimidated with all the squawking as she tried to pet one particular duck. Our only concern was her falling down the pond because of too much excitement. But then everything was fine. Everyone was happy as we went home for lunch.

Dr. Jekyll & Mrs. Hyde

I am a Libra.

Pros
Loves to chat. Loves those who loves them. Loves to takes things at the center. Inner and physical beauty. Lies but doesn'tpretend. Gets angry often. Treats friends importantly. Always making friends. Easily hurt but recovers easily. Daydreamer. Opinionated. Does not care of what others think. Emotional. Decisive. Strong clairvoyance. Loves to travel, the arts and literature. Touchy and easily jealous. Concerned. Loves outdoors. Just and fair. Spendthrift. Easily influenced. Easily loses confidence. Loves children.
Get Your Own.

Cons
You have to be a real loser to be born a Libra. Libras are born with two left hands, both of which grow out of their ass. They are tone-deaf and generally have poor eyesight. The senses of self-esteem and humor are in embryotic states at best.
Libras never have any money, their love life is usually a non-starter and they have notoriously bad luck both at work and at home. Pictures of mediocrity, they are incapable of standing out, surprising, outperforming.

Unconscious Mutterings

"It's not about what I have done.

But it's about who You are."

Just came home from another hearfelt, touching Sunday service. Inspirational stories from a couple of men from the discipleship program from our church whose lives were completely turned around. They told very sad stories of abuse, family abandonment, suicide, drugs and substance abuse. From the streets of Los angeles and Santa Monica to the doorsteps of people who desperately need help. They offer their lives to helping the church in reaching out and most of all giving their lives for the glory of God.

I've been thinking a lot about volunteering for the children's ministry. I would definitely sign up and help out.

Just chilling today, watching the Golden Globes. Husband and daughter are at the L.A. Auto Show. I know I should've went along with them but I had this terrible ache all over my body that I just had to rest. Have a big test on Tuesday so I'm studying at the same time.

And oh..I bought this Knitting book. I'm so psyched about having to make my own scarf or virtually anything that I could get my hands into. I know it would have been easier to buy it in the store but there's something very fulfilling about making something out of your own hands. A very good sense of satisfaction and of course I can always brag about it if things get really good.
